T-7 days: Introduction and departure

Hi. I'd like to introduce myself. I'm Max. I will be taking care of this blog for the next week.

Today, many of the observers began traveling to New Zealand and Australia.  There was some excitement this morning, as the airlines notified us that they had canceled Luke and Steph's flight. Luckily they were able to get them another flight to Melbourne.
